2. I am a foreigner; do I need a special registration?
No, we are all one. Where applicable, submit all the necessary referral
forms and insurance documents to aid in the registration processes.
3. Do you take health insurance? Which of them do you accept?
Yes, we accept a wide range of private health insurance claims.

4. Do you accept card payments and foreign currencies?
Yes, we accept credit/debit cards including VISA, GHLink,
and MasterCard. We also accept foreign currencies at an approved exchange rate of the facility.
5. Will you permit visitors while I am on admission?
Yes, we permit guests every day of the week.
6. How can I get a medical report after my visit?
Kindly request from your treating doctor for the required medical report if you are an out-patient.
All in-patients are permitted to ask their attending doctor for any type of medical report.
Your report may take 1-3 days to be ready.
7. Are all the specialist consultants available 24/7?
Physicians at the Family Medicine department are available 24hours.
Other specialists are available at specified days and times within the week

8. I must visit the doctor again, what do I do?
Kindly speak to the front desk personnel to make a review appointment if you are present at the facility.

9. Am I permitted to see a specialist without booking an appointment?
Yes, you will be given time to see the specialist on arrival.
10. How is the appointment system at OAK?

11. I called to book an appointment, where do I go when I arrive at the hospital?
Please speak with our front desk personnel for assistance.
12. I met a doctor and was asked to see another doctor in a different department, what should I do?
Please you will have to inform the front desk personnel. If you are out of the hospital, kindly call any of our
office numbers for assistance.
13. How do I get my lab investigations done?
The laboratory scientist on duty will check our system and take appropriate sample. The result will be sent to the requesting doctor.
14. Will I get a copy of my laboratory reports?
The result will be communicated electronically to the requesting doctor.
However, if you need a hardcopy for personal reasons, you can pass by the lab after meeting with your requesting doctor.
15. Do you take part-payment for your services?
We usually advice that an advance payment be made at the time of admission.
However, if full payment cannot be done, you are permitted to make part-payment and
have a payment plan with the account department before discharge.
16. Will you permit a relative to stay with me when admitted at OAK?
We have our professional caregivers, nurses and midwives who are always ready to assist patients on admission.
However, relatives are permitted to stay with the patient if they want.
17. I want to visit a friend on admission at OAK, where do I go?
Kindly speak to our front desk personnel, you will answer few questions
and you would be directed to the nurses’ station for further assistance.
18. I have a prescription from a different hospital, can I buy the drugs from your pharmacy?
Yes, kindly visit our pharmacy any time of the day within the week.
19. The doctor prescribed a drug for me, I missed a dose, what do I do?
